ENVIRONMENT
As riders we all depend on the nature and our environment. For production of skis it is not possible to use 100% ecologically materials. But still it is possible to reduce the CO2 footprint. A big part is to build boards with a long lifespan, where you are not forced to buy a new board every second season because it is broken, looses its flex or has some delaminations. The production and the sourcing of the materials is an important step to do our little part to save the planet.
Allmost all of our materials are produced in the EU, mainly from Austria, France, Germany and Czech Republic. This helps us to keep transport to minimum distances.
- • The wood for our cores comes from local suppliers, it is ecologically harvested in Austria and Czech republic. We use almost exclusively ash and we avoid the fashion pseudo wood bamboo, which in reality is grinded bamboo fibres glued together with resin, formaldehyde and melamine.
- • For the veneer topsheets we use wood from renewable sources.
- • Wherever we can we use eco friendly resins, these are produced with a lower CO2 footprint then standard industrial resins, most of them made in France.
- • Isosport, the industrial leader for highest quality polymers delivers our base and ABS materials, produced in Austria
- • Edges are produced by a steel factory in Austria
- • Tuning on Wintersteiger (Austria) and Reichmann (Germany) machines, so even here the local industry is supported.
