FIBRES
Carbon
Carbon enables to build lighter boards, which are very agile and react very quick. Our special damping materials enables us to build strong, lightweight boards with damping properties known from the glasfibre boards. Over the last years it became our favourite material for the boards and it will be our standard material for all boards in the future.
Kevlar
We use Kevlar as protection for the core in case you hit a rock. If a impact is hard enough and a scratch goes trough the base it can destroy the fibre layers and damage the wood core. Kevlar can prevent this in many cases, but remember that it is not indestructible ;)
Glasfibre
The traditional material for skis. It offers a nice flex and damping, it is easy to repair and you get the option of a transparent topsheet and base. Compared to carbon the boards are more heavy (0.5-0.8kg). In 2020 we did switch our complete lineup to carbon, glasfibre based boards are just available on special request now.
